The nights are starting to close in, and naturally at this time of year the pull to cosy up and take stock becomes stronger.
Do you feel this pull to retreat within, to light the proverbial fire in the homestead and reflect?
Or are you in a state of flux, like me, where the external factors of your day-to-day are not yet aligning? Or (in plain English) how many of you are moving home, moving jobs, leaving a relationship, making that big change that 2026 has seemed to call for, and now as we move into autumn you are mid-shift, mid-move, and you haven’t quite landed (yet)?
And if so, when there’s no choice left but to Let Go and Trust, how can you take intentional action from this place?
Letting go and taking action is a tightrope. Push too hard and you’ll ‘fall off’ into the pit of despair and sleepless nights. Don’t take action and you’ll atrophy, suspended in fear.
When there is nothing to control, when you have nothing to trust but Divine Timing, intentional action comes from aligning with your inner voice of knowing.
How do you find it? Explore ideas, get curious.
Discover the wrong path to discover the right path. Notice how your body reacts viscerally. Notice how it feels to explore something you would normally deny yourself.
This process helps you align with something really important: the knowledge that when the time comes, you will make the choice that feels right for you in that moment.
So no matter how long ‘the right job’ or ‘the right flat’ or ‘the right partner’ takes to appear in your life, the time spent exploring what doesn’t feel right won’t have been wasted.
It takes courage and patience.
This month’s card: the Eight of Cups
The Eight of Cups beckons us to go within and trust that we are leaving something behind in order to move towards something better. It’s a slow card of patience and deliberation, courage and emotion.
If you’d like to sit with it together, the next Gathering is on Tuesday 1 December, 6:00pm UK time, for an hour. Gatherings are £9, and your first one is free with the code FIRSTFREE.
Take it gently.
Sam
